Mark of the Avenger

Relive the B-Western magic with these tales of the old west! Russell Hayden stars in "Mark of the Avenger", one of the rare Zane Grey films he made for Hopalong Cassiday producer Howard Bretherton and director Lesley Selander. An excellent film also starring Douglas Drumbrille, the story follows the aging Pecos Bill and his retribution against the outlaw who murdered his partner and stole his ranch. Lucky plays the part of the young ranch foreman, Wils Moore, who has his eye on Pecos' daughter. Lots of action and stunning photography by Russell Harlan, who also filmed Willaim Boyd's pictures, round out this great adventure. Appx. 1 hr. 10 min minutes. 1938. Good condition. Taken from an original reel, so the film is missing a few spots. Also titled "The Mysterious Rider".
